30. Tillie Tuesday July 13, 2021
It’s just another Tillie Tuesday,
I wish it were a snooze day,
But it’s my news day,
And just another Tillie Tuesday.
Tillie Tuesday, the After Reunion Afterglow edition
Tillie, not a fan of the morning meal
Me: Tillie, what’s your favorite breakfast?
Tillie: Um…lunch?
Tillie, eating breakfast anyway
After easily cracking the wide end of a hard boiled egg she tries the other end:
“You’re right! The ceiling is hard to crack!”
Tillie, on how to lose tablet privileges
“So, when are you going to make me breakfast? After I’m dead already?”
Tillie, in a conversation with her 15 year old nephew, Dylan
Dylan: The mountain lions come out in the summer looking for food.
Tillie: Oh yeah…the tourists. Because they are the meat.
Tillie, on using a pretend tablet as a calculator
Tillie made a pretend tablet out of her magnetic blocks. Then she asked us to give her some numbers to enter.
Me: 3 + 9
(She punches the squares)
Tillie: 12
Me: 14 + 12.
(She pauses and thinks for a moment.)
Tillie: It’s loading…
Tillie, on the myth of ownership
Tillie: The game is on Lily’s tablet.
Jeanne: Well, all tablets actually belong to the parents even if the children use them the most.
Tillie: We are all children of God, remember. So that means even you are a child, Mommy. Right?
Tillie, on what you learn from your older cousins
Tillie: Daddy, let’s take a selfie!
Me: What?
Tillie: It’s golden hour!
Tillie, on goodbyes are hard
“Since I said goodbye to Emmit I don’t feel very well.”
And, finally,
Tillie, On summing up the Family Reunion
“Exclusively fantastic!”
