14. Tillie Tuesday March 9, 2021
It’s just another Tillie Tuesday,
I wish it were a snooze day,
But it’s my news day,
And just another Tillie Tuesday.
Tillie, on ghosts at bedtime:
Tillie: Daddy, there’s a ghost in the room.
Me: There’s no ghost. Go to sleep.
Tillie: The ghost is going to get me in one minute...
Me: Go to sleep
Tillie: (grinds her teeth)
Me: What was that?
Tillie: That was the ghost chewing off my arm.
Tillie, as our household prepares for the annual spring basketball tournament. Or, as she calls it...
“March Angryness”
Tillie, on a chilly morning:
“I’m getting colder and colder. I have bird bumps!”
Tillie, on skills:
“Look, Daddy, I can make a foot fist!
Tillie, seeing the sun and moon in the sky at the same time:
“Look, Daddy. They are having a conversation. What do you think they are saying to each other?”
Tillie, on being nervous:
“I hope I’m not panicking. Am I panicking?”
Tillie, recounting wearing a special art dress for International Women’s Day:
“Mrs. White (her art teacher) asked me if I remembered who this was and I said, ‘Frida Kahlo.’ And then I high fived her.”
And, finally, Tillie on the power of knowing both magic and geography:
“Abra Kadabra Alaskakazam!”
Tillie has been a busy artist. I’ve included some of her latest works in the photos this week. Can you find her design for a princess dress?
