33. Tillie Tuesday Aug. 3, 2021

It’s just another Tillie Tuesday,

I wish it were a snooze day,

But it’s my news day,

And just another Tillie Tuesday.

Tillie Tuesday, the Love and War Edition

Tillie, on early morning wake up

Tillie: Daddy, do you want to play with me?

Me: Um…okay. But I kind of need to just have a cup of coffee first.

Tillie: Don’t worry. I will go easy on you.

Tillie, on predicting a first round knock out.

“Do you want to fight, Daddy? It will only take ten seconds.”

Tillie, on priorities

Tillie: Screen time is kind of my favorite thing. That and ruling the world.

(Mommy and Tillie giggle)

Mommy: I love you

Tillie: I love you too. And I was just kidding.

Tillie accidentally bumped her knee on the chair. Of course, she thought it was a major injury.

Me: I’m sorry you got hurt but I’m glad it was your knee and not your foot.

Tillie: Why?

Me: Because your knee is much stronger than your toes so it won’t get as much damage.

Later that morning we are playing a fight game and Tillie hits me in the elbow.

Me: Ouch.

Tillie: Well, just remember that your elbow is much stronger than your foot so it’s a good thing I didn’t hit you on your foot.

Tillie, on her world ranking

“I’m the worst daughter ever…Did you hear me, father? I said I’m the worst daughter ever.”

Tillie, on giving directions

“Remember, Daddy, there’s a turn up here. I think it’s right or left.”

And, finally,

Tillie, on love

“I love you forever and ever and ever. Hallelujah.”

“I love you, father. I still love you when you go to the moon and back.”
